Happy Christmas everyone,
Whilst strolling through Facebook last night I see that Track Demons have got their claws into Llandow and they are charging £140 for a Friday trackday there!!!

Just goes to show what an impressive job Si did for us every year at Llandow

And that Llandow clearly now only want cars to attend track days. Don't get me wrong think that Llandow is a great track day experience but seriously when you can have a day at Caldwell for less money clearly there is something very wrong.

Cadwell, Oulton and the like may well be cheaper, but start factoring in the nowadays considerable costs of travel and it becomes a serious deal breaker for those of us on a limited income. Llandow is one of the very few trackday options available to bikers in the west and southwest of England. Until that changes, and I doubt it ever will, we're more or less at the mercy of the track owners and/or operators.

P.S. F.a.o. Billin0m8s - Any news on SWB at the Bedford Autodrome idea?

From what I've seen on YouTube, Llandow seems to be the circuit of choice for testing cars. Lots of well known guys ripping around there and I guess they have the financial clout to hire the track.

As a forum day out for £60 it was good and well worth it.
As a full priced track day (at £140), nope... it's just a small loop compared to all other tracks.

Pembrey is just 50 miles further into Wales and is a bigger/better track.

Llandow isn't worth £140 - fact? Even John the head marshal Says that Llandow isn't worth more than £80.

In the part couple of years pembrey has also put it's prices up.
It used to be a regular £110, the Last time I looked it was £150!.

For £20 less and an hours travel you could do cadwell - a whole different kettle of fish.

Saying that though, UK trackday prices are getting silly, you're not getting anything more than you were a few years back, just companies looking to make more and more profit at the expense of their, 'loyal' customers.

Shame really.

Well it just just shows the the price of a 3 day Euro Trackday is worth every penny.

But hopefully Si will hear from Bedford soon

I was doing a dozen trackdays between April and September plus 1 or 2 euro trip. Plus all the other costs.

Certainly couldn't justify that now.

Pembrey is £150 but they are now limited no.s days, max of 20 per group, which on a small track like that is just about do able
