As I understand it, it's 6 and above when things get really expensive, insurers aren't so worried about the odd 3. I'd imagine it will still increase your premium to some degree.
Let us know when you renew, I'd be interest to know (not becuase I have points

Re: 3 points
one thing i did find annoying is that even though points come off your licence after 3 or 4 years (i forget but theyve gone now anyway
), the insurance companies i got quotes from still ask if you have had any convictions within the last 5, by which time theyd be spent convictions anyway
its strange what actually happens is
Points are valid for 3 years but
They stay on your licence for 4 years but
Insurance companies want ton know for the past 5 years.
However from my experience points that are no longer valid (i.e. older than 3 years) don't actually effect your premium - although this may not be true for all policies.

so it turns out.........sometime i do give a f*ck

Re: 3 points
but if you don't tell them about points which have been removed with in the last fives years then your insurance may become invalid
, so you are better off telling the truth....Always have, always will

Re: 3 points
id rather declare it and pay the extra, rather than run the risk of them being able to check with dvla and potentially invalidating your insurance if you have a claim... same with modifications too, if you dont declare them it saves you money on your premium, but you are in effect invalidating your cover and therefore riding w/o insurance

Did you know if you change the handlebars e.g. to renthals, it effects your premium, but if you change to a legal exhaust can it doesnt !!!!chris_1127";p="32495 wrote:id rather declare it and pay the extra, rather than run the risk of them being able to check with dvla and potentially invalidating your insurance if you have a claim... same with modifications too, if you dont declare them it saves you money on your premium, but you are in effect invalidating your cover and therefore riding w/o insurance
