Come on then who's making the trip to Brussels to sign the petition against "vision zero" or the new licensing laws?! If they get their way it's not only going to cost so much to get a full license that not so many people will be able to afford or justify it, and the age for DAS etc is going up to 24. I know it doesn't seem like our problem seeing as we all have licenses but it might be one of our problems if say we lost our license and had to retrain and retest under the new proposal it won't be easy or cheap. Then you have the whole thing of there being fewer bikers on the road in the future meaning more car driver ignorance, even less safe roads, slowly we may be fazed out, and targeted. Well vision zero wants all bikes off the road but thats another story for the Hague.
I shouldn't need to tell you about trip details, i'm sure you have read the details in MCN. They are posting the route in next weeks paper. If you want the number of the P&O booking line and promo ref it is in last wednesdays or give me a shout.
It's a properly organised run from calais to brussels (123 miles) 4 or 5 different crossings in the morning (Promo P&O ?20 return). Return same day.
Who's up for it? I bet longdistanceDan is & I'm going for sure, and it won't cost a fortune in fuel cos its much cheaper over the channel!
Plus the opportunity to pick up some duty free in those panniers of yours Craig.
Take it Easy
