Ok folks we have got at least a handful of ideas and they all seem quite reasonable. Will have a word with me mate at Royal oak and see what specials he has to offer for us. I know he has started having bands there and he does the food his self. All we need to do is get off our lazy arse'e and make an effort to meet. Wednesdays evenings is always a good one for me as its the only night wife dont work so no need to find babysitter. And of course weekends shouldn't be a prob. But i can always make arrangements if i have to.

So to the start of something big (hopefully) i look forward to meeting you all at some point and somewhere to call

Would it be best to have it on another night than the Plymouth pub night. :?:

Some people might want to do both.

We might be prepared to come up there, if you buy the coffee.

Yeah I recon go for it. Dont matter if its on a wednesday cos if a few people want to go to one or the other then just have the one in exeter or plymouth that week.

Wednesdays are the best eve for me as I do other stuff most eves.

From experience Double Locks sounds best. But willing to try the others out.
Who's going to be brave and say let's start first one & meet next Wednesday 12 October at say 7pm at the Double Locks. Marsh Barton, Exeter.

If you're not sure where it is - it's only half a mile from Bridge M/cycles. If your coming out of the Bridge showroom turn left and go straignt on at every roundabout - don't turn off. Eventually go over a hump back bridge, a slippery (careful in the wet) wooden canel bridge and follow the signs.

Let's have a show of hands - anyone else up for next wednesday?

I should be up for it. But for we may have to change the nights in future as there seem to be a few who can't do Wednesdays.

Also spoke to my mate at THE ROYAL OAK in Exminster. He is happy for us to meet there but i can't decide when is best time . Its busyish most nights apparently. Different things on different nights. Skittles, darts all the normal pubby things. Great steak so i have been told and curry night on fridays. But i'm happy with DOUBLE LOCKS. Easy for me to find way home. Just follow canal.
