Look in here for local ride outs...

Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

There is another path to full enlightenment, the realm of naked/muscle bikes.

Be it ZRX, Bandit, XJR1300, GSX1400, etc, etc, even the Fazer 1000. All day comfort and lots of power and torque.

There is a third way to true motorcycle nirvana.

Don't do it! Clunks suggestions are good as are the 4th way - BIG TRAILIES. Power, agility, comfort, wind protection, the list goes on............. You will never go back, and you don't need cookies or Mike Tyson neck muscles for 80+.

Nice suggestion Greg...but...

When I left the Army, my first job was a trials instructor...
So I would be seriously tempted to go off road...and probably knacker my back up completely.............or die

Clunks idea of a muscle bike is tempting, I used to have an old Kwacker GT 750 (shaft drive) that was comfy...

My biggest worry of getting a cruiser is...........nodding off on the road

andrew wrote: Hope the ickle 125 didn't hold u guys up too much - it was an absolute scream to ride
Riding behind the 125 was a breath of fresh (2 stroke) air, it also meant I could treat mine gently and keep to the mildly irritating sub 6500rpm running in thingmy. Once the lanes get tight its very hard to try and corner at the same mid corner speed and on as tight a line as a well ridden 125 - makes me realise how lazy/poor my cornering technique has got - way to easy to cheat on big bikes and just go in slow and come out fast.

funny but of all the bikes at the meet the one I really would have loved to have had a go on was the knackered RS125 Id have tried to blag a go but im not brave enough to hand you the keys to a few mile old K6 thou

Now come on, admit it. You were eyeing up Keith's cruiser thinking "I wonder if I can clutch-up a wheelie in 2nd gear on that"
