help me, my bike wont start

Well mine locks the back wheel in 3rd trying to bump start it

so no chance in hell of turning motor by hand, Take plugs out and it should turn over easy.

I can't emagine it being anything serious.

mmm well i think that could be for more experienced hands!! so say for instance i get the plugs out and get the engine to turn over what does that mean and what would i need to do? is it easier getting hold of a low millage 2nd hand lump and throwing that in??? cant believe i am saying that

Take the plugs out, shine a tourch (sp) down there, and try and move the wheel, whilst the bike is in gear.

I really cant see how the bike could of seized? I mean, I have heard of cold seizures, but thats really only on 2 strokes and thens when they have been started and then held off the rev limiter for a minute or two.

Whats the milage on the engine, what was it like last time you rode it?

Was it an electrical bang or engine bang?

Electrical bang is usually quieter in my experience and cuts the bike instantly.

Engine bang makes the bike splutter to a sudden death.

thanks for the advice, millage 22000 on a s plate i rode it on the thursday and it died on the saturday it seemed alright??? bang was hard to say where it come from it spluttered a little but it always does when you warm it up, so dunno

it always bangs because it's on choke and there is excess fuel going into the exaust pipe mate.

Mine does it all the time as it runs on the rich side.

christ it cost me £22 in petrol on Sunday

But perhaps if I did not twist the throttle so much it might be better

what size are the slugs in your barrels Age? and whats the compression ratio?? good luck trying to turn a big twin over like that, but a small four pushing 150cc per cylinder is a different bucket o' fish

might b worth taking cam cover off and making sure camchain is still in one piece. also drain the oil and look for lots of shiny bits of metal.

see the new thread i started and if u still have no luck then get back to me. Don't starting thinking any bad thoughts or doing anything major till you've worked through all the logical steps.
