That's a good idea Jay but be careful as where we layed the tributes it is close to the road, when the police where there it wasn't so bad as they directed the traffic away from us but when me and Hassy went down on Saturday it was quite nervy with the cars passing by so close.Jay wrote:OK Linnie. well i may take a trip over today to pay my respects

I think that's a good idea ... there's no guarantee of the weather at any time, but it's bound to be better in April. I couldn't make Sunday, but as you say there's Frank's memorial soon. I'm glad Jane is happy for us to go on our bikes.Argent_Taon wrote:...thought maybe it would be a good idea to postpone the 22nd January rideout to another date, maybe April (it could be around the 22nd April as that is when Frank joined, just a thought) the weather was freezing yesterday and it was a big rideout, which to be honest was helped by having a police escort present to slow the traffic down where we stopped and organising the Ferry so we could have our own dedicated lane.
I don't want to put anybody off the idea and I know Kelly and some of those who couldn't make it yesterday are anxious to pay their respects but we will still have Frank's memorial which will be soon and Jane would like us to attend on our bikes if we can.
Please don't lynch me
my mind not only wanders ... sometimes it leaves completely
Definitely an emotional day
, but it’s a credit to Frank that there were so many supportive people around yesterday – it seems he’s responsible for countless members joining SWB, I know I wouldn’t have joined without his encouragement. He has so many nice friends that I felt honoured to be among them yesterday to pay my respects. Thanks to all those involved in organising things so well. k8
