Another story from the never ending novel about my bike....
I went to see a patient in buckfastleigh today, and parked my bike just outside with the steering lock on. After being approximately 4 hours in the house I came out so see satan's machine lieing on it's left hand side! God knows why, I suspect some plonker did it. needless to say it's lucky I have a spare left front indicator, need to buy a new rear one and my mirror has sheared off from the bolt, leaving me so far unable to put in a new mirror. Does anyone know how I can get the sheared bolt out? there is about 1mm showing, however it is not enough for me to get a purchase on with pliers. I need help help help....
why not drill it and get a set of bolt extracters? theyre about a fiver for a cheap set, and are kinda like a big coarse reverse threaded drill bit that fits into a tap handle. Just go careful - if you break them they are a real pain to get out as theyre hardened ;)
you live in newton abbot dont you? i would offer to lend u mine but since moving out of my garage ive not managed to locate them again since ;) check the tool stand at the market - they sell them there.
Damn was hoping not to have to drill it etc, ok I'll see what I can do. Might take you up on that offer andrew, I think speedy is offering too, but he's up north i think, though doing it myself would be an experience, though my first time I would probably cock it up so best let someone else!
thats well bad, if i caught someone kicking ANY bike over i would tear their [Censored] legs off! does this kind of stuff happen a lot to your bikes then?
eezi outs are the best way to get a sheared off bolt out. try the trusty mole grips first though, u might be able to shift it with them, failing that , its the drill and eezi outs , hang the little muthers if u find them. or tie them behind u and ridee off !!!!
CONSIDERABLY FASTER THAN YOW !!! but only on the track !!
