Exhaust Hanger
I am doing away with my pillion pegs and so need an exhaust hanger for the pipe. Do I need something specific to my bike or can you get standard items??
If not, is any body any good at metalwork????

I happen to have, laying on a shelf, a genuine Triumph aluminium hanger for their own brand race can for a T595/509 Daytona/Speed triple

Re: Exhaust Hanger
Yes Bondy i think had his made by a mate for him. Worth giving him a bell. But like AGE said there is plenty of places out there now who do them. I got an M&P catalouge with some in.ARNOLDSNIFFALOT wrote:Bondy had one made for his Triumph, lookes and works well. He might be able to help. I have been looking at all the usual suspects for parts such as M&P, MPS Busters etc and all of their exhaust hangers seem to be model specific. I think there are some hangers made by NWS and Harris that may do the job, but I am bugered if I am paying £40 to £50 for a fancy shaped peice of metal.
I think I will get a peice of sheet metal and try making my own. I presume the way to go about this is to get a thin peice of tin to get the basic shape, and then once that is the correct shape, use that as a template for makling one with a thicker sheet of metal???

As said.
I had a carbon one made and I have a stainless one sat in the shed with the templates for others.
I can make templates for any bike and have a contact who can make them in carbon and stainless.
Give me a shout if you want a stainless one. Its very simple but strong and can be polished. also very cheap to get made about £15 for one offs.

This is, I beleive, a genuine Triumph item made for the high level race pipes used in the Speed Triple race series, which i have no use for:

if it is of use to someone, reasonable offers entertained

I have used Harris ones (as they seem to be about the best made ones on the market and im a sucker for branded kit) on my last couple bikes, but I agree they are a tad expensive.
mind you £ 40/50 is still barely a saturday night on the piss. With the bonus that an exhaust hanger doesnt give you a hangover.
