Remapping a standard module

Post by skez »

Hello all, Yesterday i put in a K&N air filter and took it for a run, it did pick up better but felt like it was struggling to reach higher speeds, First question. Will i cause any damage if it's running Leaner/Richer? Second question, can i get the original module remapped or do i have to get a power commander? cheers, ps Popping up to Bridge today might see some of you.

Me no tech. But I do know when you fit a K&N the fuel air ratio changes to the leaner side of the scale and when you go to lean things start causing hot spots on the pistons leading to possible melt down over a period of time. The best thing to do is contact your dealer. I had a issue with mapping when fitting a new can. had it mapped for £20 and i runs better.
