As the title peeps, what are some good roads near Taunton, and further a field, linking back to Honiton?

Going back to Honiton on a good but relatively good route is Taunton to Collumpton on the A38 which is boring but then go onto the A375 which takes you to Honiton, that is a develish route.

Another would be do the A358 all the way to chard and do the Yarcombe Twisties on the A30 from Chard to Honiton.

Around Taunton in general you have the great A372 from Bridgwater to Langport which includes the surprisingly unknown seven sisters. Just resurfaced so absolutely amazing.

Got the A39 from Bridgwater to Minehead, voted one of the best biking roads in Britain, however is now heavily policed.

Heavy policed......

seen 2 coppers on that road in the 3 years ive been doing it :?

A39 is very dangerous.....lots of bikers killed but dangerous is what makes it a good biking road like cat and fiddle.

Who you visiting in Taunton?
I love Lamp.

One of my favourites. 8) Was up there only last week. Friday IIRC, Rider's was closed.

I take the B roads from Exeter through Cullompton (nice practice road, but all speed limits now and currently closed at the roundabout), onto the A38 to Bridgewater, the A372 seven bends and then onto the B roads to Chard, then I get back to Exeter from Honiton via Cullompton again, or do the Axminster route. :D

Course if you're riding Honiton and Taunton, you won't want the Exeter bit.

Having relatives in Chard (used to be in Barrington) means I get a free coffee break too, but that wouldn't count for you either.

I thought the A39 to Minehead was now all silly (some illegal and vandalised because of it) speed limits? Maybe I'm thinking of a different road. Caravan heaven in the summer though.

Any minute now, the route police will will be on this thread I expect.

I'll probably boot it up the M5 to taunton and then set the route from there.
Sue, like the suggestions of the B roads, gives you time to think!

You should have been at the henlade burger van about an hour earlier, I had just finished my little ride, could have gone together. Hand in hand.
