Young Rider - Big Bike Insurance Friendly People
Hey all
Time to insure the GSXR1100 now. Coming up to 19th birthday in two weeks and my 33bhp restriction will be finally over!!
Looking for insurance now, had license 2 years, with 2 years NCB, live in good area, clean license. I want to get about £300ish on TPO. Anyone here now and good compaines..
I know Jewell and Trash arent too old and powerful bikes.. so someone insures them. Cheapest found so far is £393 with Axa.

Looking for people with bikes bigger than 1000cc
sorry, didn't realise those 4cc were so important .......
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Not you Moose..
I'll rephrase then above 1000cc +- 100cc
h4z7d only on 550cc bike, my ZXR would have been more insurance than that..
Soo excited to finally get back on a bike again, so tempting to illegally take it out for a quick spin.. but with no MOT or TAX yet I'd be asking for trouble..

not sure what theyre like for you youngsters
but ive always had the 7-11 with either Carol Nash or CIA. It was about £300 ish tpft all mods declared when i was about 25 with about 5 years ncb from memory. TPO didnt actually work out that much cheaper than TPFT though so worth getting quotes on both
gsx-aaaaaaaargh!!!

I guessed what you meant ....
You might be surprised though - I can quite see a new GSXR6 costing you just as much to insure as the 11. Age of the bike, "desirability", "nickability", etc., all have a part to play. Because the bike is over 10 yrs old, that will play a big part in bringing the premium down. Good Luck

I thought about classic insurance, but its going to be used for commuting, and I do about 24000 miles per year, so dont want to be restricted that way. Obviously I wont do anywhere near than value using the car on the rainy days but dont want to be tied down with the restricted mileage.
Like I say £393 is best so far and that was an internet quote! So must be able to find cheaper else where, going to start ringing around later.
Hey Chris, you wouldnt happen to have a spare oil cooler lying around in your garage?
Cheers
