stupid old biddy drivers

Post by billinom8s »

Jut had a call from kim who bit the bullet and took a ride with rachel (diva) to the isle of wight for a couple of days.

she was in a car park, just riding out when a 'stupid old bint' (her words not mine) reversed from her parking bay straight into her knocking her off the bike. this has resulted in the fairing being smashed, the throttle being stuck open and various damages to the brake linkages.

the old woman refused to get out of the car at the start just stating that 'you knew i was coming out'. she did eventually, leaving her 3 other old biddies in the car.

photos were taken, details exchanged and then she drove off leaving kim n diva in the carpark with a knackerd bike miles from home.

i thought it was the old folk that were supposed to be the responsible ones, well thats what they are always telling us isnt it ?

kim is ok, a little shaken just but very pissed off with how the modern biker is treated and looked upon by 'respectable' people.

nothing new really though is it, theres always been an element of road users who have zero awareness of whats going on around them. It'll probably automatically become bikers faults soon when they're hit for not having headlights on or full flouro gear on to make us easier to spot as well

Some old biddy pulled out on me at drumbridges roundabout last week, i stood the bike on its nose and thumbed the horn for about 5 seconds, and he still didnt even realise what he had done!!

Nasty, hopefully the insurance company sort it out.

Just incase, heres a few places that can sort you out with replacements:

Best one by far is a guy called Greame France on 07778628448 he'll be able to get brand new and will probably have decent 2nd hand panels too.

http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/ are good but not as cheap as Greame.

http://bike-breakers.info/Home.htm is worth a try too.
