brands WSB

The stretch of M27 past Southampton and Portsmouth is famous for them - scamera vans that is - plenty of fixed cameras on the stretch past Worthing/Brighton. Waiting to see if one of the vans caught me on Saturday
I should know better up there!
my mind not only wanders ... sometimes it leaves completely

Oh sh*t! I didn't see any, and I've got a pretty keen eye for them (I'd like to think...!)
But thanks for the warning, I don't take that route alot but most of my family live in London so... erk!

There are not many scamers in the Southampton/Portsmouth area as it goes. You get a few cars sitting on bridges on the M27 around the Hedge End and Fareham areas, but there are no fixed or mobile cameras in the vicinity.
Do be careful if you use the M27 after coming off the A35 though as there are nomally cars about, especially at weekends if there are any events in the area.
The A272 is a great run if you want to go that way. When I go to Brands from here in Fareham, I usually head along the A272, past Haywards Heath and then pick up the A26 just outside Uckfield and head up through Tonbridge, picking up the A227 towards Borough Green and heading for the A20 which then takes you all the way to Brands.
Its a long route and can be slow, but is a great alternative to motorways.
Quick way; M27, M3, M25, leaving at Swanley and heading east on M20 and A20.
For those who are not sure, Brands is just outside West Kingsdown/Fawkham.

Depends what way you wanna go mate, I'd prefer the scenic "Bike" route, but up to you I suppose...
