Yeah you definately have to remove the carbs then.

IF THE RESTRICTORS ARE IN THE CARB RUBBERS THE ENGINE SIDE OF THE CARBS LEVER THEM OUT WITH A SCREW DRIVER TAKE CARE NOT TO SPLIT YA RUBBERS THEY WILL BE QUITE TIGHT...
PEOPLE SOME TIMES SMOOTH THE INSIDE OF THESE RUBBERS BELIVING IT IS A PERFORMANCE GAIN...
LIKE GETTING A POLISHED AND PORTED HEAD I SUPPOSE.. BETTER DISTRIBUTION OF FUEL..
THERE SHOULD BE NO METAL INSIDE THE RUBERS DEPENDING ON MAKE AN MODEL...

well im trying to organise a cornish rideout on saturday as im going to plymouth for daddy's bday on sunday, but so far not an amazing amount of interest so would more than happy to make a solo run to looe on the saturday iof thats what your thinking?
