Never been pulled on a bike. Closest I came to it was last year on the way back from Paignton bike night. Went past a parked bike cop on the A380 whilst I was overtaking a BMW (had to be done ) The cop caught me up on the M5, pulled alongside, pointed to me and then to his speedo and then pulled in front and rode at 70 until we got to the services turn off, then left

the police in devon are angels compared to those in kent and sussex who seem to have a massive attitude problem and consistently talk down to you. Give them any sort of by the book comments such as asking for a badge number and they get angry and start threatening.

why would you ask them for their badge number? surley if you asked any cocky question like that to any cop they're gonna get abit pissy with you and then throw the text book at ya!?

because some of them make comments that are ontoward in their position of power. I'm not just going to take shit otherwise who polices the police?

Compared to Manchester you dont see that many coppers down here...it's like feckin wall to wall to with em back up there...and they do tend to pull you for the slightest of things...it was worst when we had the riots and we had 500 coppers on the streets in our town...you couldn't fart without getting pulled

I have allways found them to be ok when i have had a tug but then generally i have asked for it and they know it, the best was in Lincoln going up the bypass on my GS1000, cracked it open as i joined the bypass up to 3 figures then slowed for two cars in the outside lane, a moment of madness later and i went past them on the inside as they didnt move over, next roundabout i turned right and right again into my estate and as i did my lifesaver saw a motorbike front wheel about 3 feet behind me, nearly shat myself. The copper was sound though gave me a bollicking for the undertake then asked about my speed so pleaded innocent as i was concentrating on my riding, he wouldn't tell me how fast as he would then have to give me a ticket he said, his parting comment was 'nice old bike and it goes very well'

If you live in or near a city, you'd obviously see alot more coppers....

Example, Taunton is about 120,000 people will have no more than 15 MAX coppers on patrol say at a weekend, less during the week...

And Funky, police have ID numbers on there shoulders you mong...

I know, but sometimes due to angles you can always see properly. But it's nice to let them know that you're keeping an eye on them too.
