Re: who was it then?
Raises two questions for me ......
1. What have the police got that can safely do that speed (that would have been out at that time of night)?
2. If it's not filmed from a vehicle, since when has there been a fixed camera between j.28 & j.30 calibrated to record speed?

Never been a problem between 3 and 5 a.m. - in dry, clear and traffic free conditions.....148 would be in 4th well before snicking into 5th and beyond...

A little of subject but on subject these cameras are getting clever in the not to distant future ANPR cameras will soon read the vehicle reg and be able to tell if they are over there weight restriction, soon you will be getting a ticket for not indicating at 3am on a very quite road
Re: who was it then?
Damn excessive speeders.
Need to slow down.
Used to do similar stuff.
But not any more on the roads at least
One ban is enough for me.

Re: who was it then?
Got rid of my bike that could have done this back earlier in the year. New bike could not do it even if I wanted it too.
Just because you can do these speeds does not mean that you should its a very good way to either be dead or "go directly to jail do not pass go do not collect £200"
1000cc sports bikes on the road will do massive speeds with ease (I know I have done it). If your going to ride a 1000cc sports bike on the road safely then be prepared for cruising around only using a fraction of the power (which trust me is boring). That's why I sold mine and bought a naked bike so I can have fun and go home with a smile without the jail sentence that goes with it. Now I leave the big speeds for the track days (and even then only ride 600's or 750's)

Re: who was it then?
I met a gang of guys in Roscoff ferry port once on honda 90,s , they had gone out on the ferry to Santander , rode through spain and into southern france , hired a van loaded up bikes went up to do the Normandy beaches then rode them down to Roscoff , and they had a bloody good craic ,
