Saturday 12th November - Exeter to Minehead

Post by menzies3032 »

Hi All

As we head into dark, windy, wet days we are not going to get the chance very often to be able to get out and enjoy some dry roads. So don't want to miss it. As its my daughter birthday weekend I don't have a lot of time but have snatched Saturday morning to get out.

THE PLAN
Meeting Point = McDonalds Marsh Barton Exeter
Departure time (fueled and ready to go) = 08:00
Will stop in Minehead Tesco's for a fuel fill up (if needed) and nip round the corner to McDonald (or stay at Tescos) for a quick coffee
Then will head back to Exeter.
Aiming to be back in Exeter for = 11:00 / 11:30

Let me know if you would like to join me :ymhug:

I might be able to make this, need to be back before 12 so that would work out well. Will keep you posted.

Thanks to Ming, Dan and Black and Gold for joining me today, other some sketchy road mid way up and a bit of traffic on the way back was a very doable ride for November.

Got back home again with the fuel tank on empty with only 10 miles left 😳

Great ride and amazingly progressive, given the road conditions. Good timings, as we got back when Rob needed to, and I had enough time to clean the old girl of all the detritus it collected on the ride. Well worth the effort 👌
