Seen. But I guess some of it is up to chance and the guy who was walking across could have done so a few seconds earilyer when the car was going faster and the car would not stop in time and knock him over. And the guy would have put his brakes on in time when he was going slower but was obvously to dumb to. Aswell as the man standing in the road looking at the car coming slowly towards him. And The car litarly drives into the man! I guess at the end of the day, Cars and Bikes should be able to drive as fast as they want and it's up the the people to look to the right when they are crossing the road.

I dont see why everyone makes such a big deal out of it, speeding in town does cause more accidents and increases the chance of fatalitys amongst drivers and pedestrains. At higher speed the reaction times are longer, the stopping distances are greater and the power of the impact is all the more damaging.

the a roads are another matter, thats bike territory.

id be happy to see the speed limit in towns go down to 20 or even 10, if the moved the a roads up to 100.

yeh but then what u say is a load of balls, a roads are well dangerious. loads of bloned corners. i feel even natioanl speed limit on some a roads is too much. like the other day there was an accident in torpoint twisties, as just after a blind bend. all these cars we backed up. then around the corner came a fella brand new 06 daytona. wack right into the back. imagin if he had been doing 100mph. everywehre is dangerous to go at speed. but around urban areas the roads tend to be alot strighter, and u have more visibility. its all about ground dictation. simple.

3:30 pm along a busy road, probably only possiably to do 20-30 mph.
2:30 am along the same road u will easly be able to do 50-60mph safely

just screw ur heads on. ground didctation. thats the name of the game.

I used to have a village on my way to work which was a 20mph zone. There would be the occasionaly on woman who would go this slow but everyone else including the police just do 30-35mph. Theres just no point in doing 20mph.

That's a good point mate, but then - just because it's a 100mph speed limit doesn't mean you HAVE to do it.

It's a speed limit, not a requirement.

yeh, but can only thik of a few streches of roads that it would be feasable to put a 100mph speed limit on things. i peronsaly feel they should rase motorway speed to 80mph.

if someone was doing 100mph round a blind corner on the tor point twistys id get him to sign up for a race team

My point was, that in a 30/20 your putting other people at risk but in the national speed limit its much more your own life your risking.
