What have you improved this year?
So what have you improved this year about your riding etc?
I personally cant say I've improved massively (Not anything by leaps and bounds anyway), I've gotten a bit smoother but thats just something that happens the longer you ride. The trackday showed me I can be pretty fast when I want to be, instead of pottering around on the road at half speed.
What about you?

I think getting the r6 has improved my riding no end, also going on more rideouts has improved things too, I know i still have room for improvement though so I'm going to keep learning! In recent weeks/days the maintenace of my bike has improved...with a little help from my friends! But it just shows the benefits of being on a forum like this even if it does have you lot on it, he he. Only kidding i love you all really.

Getting my srad has improved my corner speeds.
Doing most things a lot smoother than previously;
I dont drift on corners anymore but thats probably because I've gone from a really heavy bike with small wheels to a much lighter bike with big sticky wheels.
Its very difficult to not thrash the srad.
I still havent got the hang of the quick action throttle, race gearbox and lack of low end power (my gsx550 felt a lot more rideable in town)
I probably a lot more of a danger to myself on the srad

i;ve got my fuelling properly sorted at last - no more flat spots - and sent more time on the road this year instead of in the garage working on the bike. I've also added two more projects to the piles of parts in my shed, but dont know if that counts as improving anything really...
gsx-aaaaaaaargh!!!
Forgot to mention my new engine, new reg/rec which i added a CPU fan to to help cooling it, new coils and HTs, wavy discs, jack up dog bones, rear set risers, seat cowl and a cigarette lighter socket for mobile phone charger etc...i think thats itsvr-ash wrote:Where do i start?..... Well to be fair, you probably have one of the nicest Sv's. Out of interest, how much do you think it has cost you thus far?svr-ash wrote:Forgot to mention my new engine, new reg/rec which i added a CPU fan to to help cooling it, new coils and HTs, wavy discs, jack up dog bones, rear set risers, seat cowl and a cigarette lighter socket for mobile phone charger etc...i think thats itsvr-ash wrote:Where do i start?..... Any further plans for it? perhaps a TL motor? ;)
like perhaps ..... map-reading skills ..... observation skills (oh look there's a bunch of bikers in that garage waving at me, I'll just ride on by .... )Funky wrote:...going on more rideouts has improved things too, I know i still have room for improvement though so I'm going to keep learning! ...
As for me? Well I've been out on the bike loads more this year and I'm much more confident thru the twisties than I was before - so much of my past riding has been commuting on boring straight roads/motorways that it kinda threw me when I moved down here, having a bike as a toy and having such lovely roads to play on
my mind not only wanders ... sometimes it leaves completely
