Post by jonoono69 »

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adjusted the clutch nut screw, just above the gear changer to make the clutch bite a bit better on a gsf600 bandit.
Now i have no clutch drive.
change it back to were it was set, but still no different.

Read the manual

On the SV, there's a clutch actuator which needs adjusting before you adjust anything else, tighten the rest up before and you get the same problem

Have a look in the manual to see if its the same sort of deal

do you mean the cable adjuster or something else? also do you mean not engaging or not disengaging the drive? can you still feel the resistance of the springs when you pull it in?

when i pull the clutch in and put it in gear, it stalls,
left in gear, and turning the bike over, it drags on the gears ,
just as you would when turning a car on the starter motor in gear.

wind your cable adjusters out, see if that helps, if so unwind em again then adjust the screw in more on the pushrod.

Jonno where you adjusted the cable it sits in a metal like sleeve which comes out the G,Box yeah. When you pull in the clutch lever does this pull the the metal sleeve with it??

If so does it pull it as far as it can?? To its limit??

Try and push it further and see if it moves. If you have a paddock stand try turning the back wheel with it in gear and see if it is realising the drive.

If it ain't pulling it to its max then cable needs adjusting but remember it has to realease it fully to.

If its pulling it to its max but not disengaging the drive then shoulds more internal with clutch problem.
