Any Tips welcomed...

Post by Ripple »

I am just about to put a set of 40mm jack up dog bones on my bandit and wondered if anyone had any hints or tips to stop it all going pear shaped and me have a full on rage session with heavy tools near to hand...

thx

It's a simple job mate with the right tools.

I lowered the wifes SV. I have front and rear paddock stands so i used both of the and a car jack at the rear of the engine.

Loosen bolts first the jack up car jack untill you can pull out bolts. the keep jacking untill the new Bones will fit.

Bandit has a centre stand so use that.

Stick a block of wood under the back wheel so it doesnt drop when you remove them. Fit new ones and you're set.

You may need 2 people and/or some hefty socket sets, those bolts can be very tight.
