How easy is it to repair plastics
yeah basically title says it all
im looking at buying a bike and its listed as having been dropped at low speed. Think its got a small dent in the tank and a scratched clutch case, both of these parts i can get replacements for about £35 a go on ebay so not too worried. It also apparently has got scratches (but not cracks) on the belly pan and plastics around the seat. Are these light surface scratches easy to fill in and paint over, or would i need to buy a new part.
i dont have a drinking problem.......if anything, i'm too good at it

Depends how deep they are really mate.Tom L wrote: It also apparently has got scratches (but not cracks) on the belly pan and plastics around the seat. Are these light surface scratches easy to fill in and paint over, or would i need to buy a new part.
Plastic you can get away with sanding quite a lot with a fine wet and dry and smoothing it all out.
Or
Use a very good base coat, filler primer any primer and keep building it up and sand it to a smooth finsh then spray required colour.
Many options with plastic mate. Not got a clue really but always willing to have a play and save money. Even though it ends up costing me more
