I have new OXTAR boot's with the ankle support on the back. they squeak like mad when I walk. anyone know any trick's to stop them squeaking

squirt a little 3 in 1 oil in round the ankle support, this should stop it mate

soak em in waste oil, it, waterproof em as well

Ha. i would rather not soak a pair of £120 boot's in waste oil. which sort is 3 in 1 oil. I was thinking either WD40 or copper grease.

Just use a little bit of WD40

Billinom8s sprayed mine,oxtar boots !!! with silicon spray. Only thing to have worked, but just for a few hours!! You just got to get use to them squeaking mate , if you find a solution let me know

Iv got the same boot, had them for 6 months, still squeak, tried everything, just gave up.

More seriously i use a leather waterproofing treatment called Nikwax if you could work that into the affected area it may help, you can get it from Trago mills ,busters , some bike shops, shoe shops etc there is also a number of spray on products they make, visit there website, http://www.nikwax.com/en-us/index.php

WD40 or standard boot polish. both have worked on my sidis

seems to be common with OXTAR boots, i bought mine in December used some spray grease on em and it cured one but not the other. Seems to be the pivot on the back of the heel on mine

After a ride i just spray wd40 over them seems to work

works with my oxtar every time

i've got a pair of the same boots and squeak like crazy, i tried everything but nothing lasts. regular WD seems to do the best though

just ride your bike everywhere don't walk in them.
