Either way, he'll struggle to hold on to his job ....... as Jason said, it's not the original crime that he will be punished for the most. If he'd just held up his hand and admitted the fault, he would probably have got a bit of a slap to set an example, a moment of infamy in the local press, and life would carry on. A moment of stupidity has now cost in very dearly

Serves him right. He deserves all he gets! If he can lie about a simple NIP what else has he lied about to save his neck or get a promotion.

A couple of truths here - makes you wonder what would have happened (or not happened) if the speed trap was being operated by another copper rather than a 'camera operative'.
Alot to loose rather than pay a £60 fine.

Just read this....post traumatic stress disorder...my arse...bloody good lawyer more like.imagine if we all claimed that,, what a load of ol bollocks...i hope he gets the book...they are not above the law.. (rant over too)

could be interesting if he gets put inside and the other lags find out he's a copper
