MCN scare mongering.. again.

Post by JohnBob »

More of MCN's 'things are gonna change big time, and it'll upset YOU'.

I picked up a copy t'other day, and first thing i read are proposals to introduce new pieces of kit to new bikes, that'll inform you of when you're breaking the speed limit, including (but not limited to) vibrating handlebars  . They love this stuff don't they!?

Some Japanese bikes have a little light which comes on when you break a certain speed limit (whatever their max speed is) and these are bikes dating back to the late eighties.

Personally I think whenever you speed there should be a great big megaphone shouting 'WARNING WARNING this road user is committing the most serious of crimes, call the police to lock him away' then letters should be sent to everyone in your neighbourhood kinda like they do with paedophiles.

Everytime you speed you are literally killing little children and I hope you all rot in hell.

I get MCN most weeks, laugh at the scare monger front page blah, then turn to the back for the sports news. Not having SKY I can't watch WSBK and BSB ( although I try and record the CH4 late night show when I can) and usuall y miss the BBCi 125 and 250 coverage cos the kids are watching Lazytown or some thing.

I agree about speeding though, really try and keep to the limits, especially in small villages. Its just a shame that buses and over loaded delivery trucks don't  .

Yeh I don't usualy bother reading the 'their gonna ban bikes' articles cos I know if they do we'll all keep riding whilst stick up the finger.

As for the BSB we wait until the next weekend when C4 show it at 8 in the morning (or 9 on C4+1) cos we can never be bothered/remember to set the DVD recorder.

I drove a brand spanking new Audi A4 for a week, & it had all sorts of electrickery built in, one feature in particular was the sat-nav that not only had a screen in the centre of the console, but a small colour screen inbetween the clocks, that repeated the map directions...
.... & ALSO: an 80mph speed warning symbol (red roundel), & a very audible beep, no other speeds triggered the warning though, only 80mph.. i found out 2 days after driving it that it could be turned off.

ignore it. MCN is bottom rung of the ladder journalism. Its for people that buy the news of the world or the sun.

They have been printing scaremongering unfounded crap for as long as I can remember. If you want a real laugh read their group bike tests....my gran could do better.... and certainly make them more interesting.
