Ever had anything like this happen to you??

Riding along the A303 towards Yeovil yesterday, i could see that in the opposite carriageway all the traffic had stopped where people were rushing out of the South West after the bank holiday weekend. I cant remember exactly where i was, but i'm pretty sure it was on a stretch where the central reservation is replaced by a thick row of trees.

Anyway, i'm trundling along at 70 and move out to overtake Grandad in his Renault Clio. Just moving up past his rear wing and..... Some Cnut thinks its fun to turn out of the traffic on the opposite carriageway, through the trees, and then bump down onto the A303!!!

I blasted the horn at him and had to emergency brake to stop myself from hitting him, then he cuts into the other lane, making Grandad slam the brakes on too!

I'll be watching for that the next time i use that bit of road!

Well i'm always on the lookout but jesus, through a bloody forest this guy went!

I cannot agree with you more but i am afraid 90% of the population of this country would not, they also need a week at the wheel of an artic to see just what we have to put up with trying to earn a living delivering their food etc , every time i hear someone moan about trucks on the road i say , we will all stop driving next week. you go to a farm collect your milk , dig /harvest your own veg , take a cow /sheep /pig to a slaughter house yourself, make your own sausages etc you get the drift then see if you dont need trucks on the road

What's there to moan about with truckers anyway? I've never had any bad experiences with them. Yeah, they drive slowly on lanes etc, but what do people expect?

This country would plunge in to chaos if trucks were taken off the road!! But then again its never going to happen so there's nothing to worry about there.

LOL i get moaned about all the time in the little back lanes when a farmer has ordered a few loads of concrete and they look at you like are a piece of dirt and shouldn't be on their roads in your big dirty truck, one or two even get arsey when i make them back up to a pull in so i can get past so the standard reply is, Not a problem love(or m8y) so you don't want trucks on your roads, ok then you won't get your bins emptied, you won't get the fire brigade if your house catches fire and if you want to move house then you will have to make loads of trips in small vans OK. you can't have it all ways, have a nice day.......
