Back Tyre?..

Post by Milky »

I need a new back tyre. Been lookin at these..

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1606017-MICHELIN- ... dZViewItem

I dunno if theres any better I can get for my money? Or if they're good?..

What would people reccomend for that sort of price. I'm on Bridgestone BT50's at the moment. But wanna try something new (For Llandow and general road use etc)

Thanks, Tom.

Be careful fellas, manufacturers spend millions developeing tyres that work together, be it tread, compound or carcass & you really shouldn't be messing with tyres on your bikes from different firms.

If youve got a decent cont radial on there it shouldnt be too bad. If it's a cheapy conti cross or bias ply then i'd be changing it for a pilot asap.

I've had the 2ct's on my RR for the last couple of years and love them. Mate they are brill on the track/road and if it rains will continue to be excellent.

Used them at Llandow on my RR and were brill.

Warm up quick but will rip apart pretty quick on trackdays if you don't warm them enough but still hold well.

Good luck mate you won't go wrong and Webber on site know peeps in the Racing scene who use them as intermediates in wet weather

surely the obvious answer is a matching front tyre, if not the same range as least the same style from the same manufacturer. i personally wouldnt run un-matching tyre brands

yeh obviously but it might be that pilots are only good for back tyres and sh!t for front or the other way round with bridgestone etc. just thought some tyres would be better on front/back than others.
