whys that then mateDynaMight wrote:Wait and see what Focused Events etc post up for Pembrey. Had enough of Phil Bevan trackdays.
After the way Alan treated Kelly, following her around trying to stop her taking photos and would not stop going on about it all morning, in the briefing etc. Last two times we've been there it's felt like we should feel privileged to be going rather than them happy for the custom. Besides, it isn't like we get any kind of discount even with the amount of people we bring along to their trackdays.deej wrote:whys that then mateDynaMight wrote:Wait and see what Focused Events etc post up for Pembrey. Focused Events was £89 on a Friday too. AFAIK they allow cameras, plus don't have the stupid two warm up laps every session. Focused Events get a bad rep, but I prefer them to Phil Bevan trackdays, any day of the week imo.
I think most people can decide when their tyres are warm. At any trackday I've been to where there has not been any warm up laps, I dont think I've seen any accidents within the first few laps. Plus it naturally splits people up, whereas at Pembrey theres always big clunks of people.Colin wrote:i personally think the 2 warm up laps are a good idea. If there was power readily available then that would be a different story but not everyone is sensible enough to go steady and warm there tyres before getting on the gas.
When we went to Donington the 1st time Gav didnt have tyre warmers and got left behind for the 1st lap ( soon caught up though ).![]()
