After the way Alan treated Kelly, following her around trying to stop her taking photos and would not stop going on about it all morning, in the briefing etc. Last two times we've been there it's felt like we should feel privileged to be going rather than them happy for the custom. Besides, it isn't like we get any kind of discount even with the amount of people we bring along to their trackdays.

Focused Events was £89 on a Friday too. AFAIK they allow cameras, plus don't have the stupid two warm up laps every session. Focused Events get a bad rep, but I prefer them to Phil Bevan trackdays, any day of the week imo.

i personally think the 2 warm up laps are a good idea  . If there was power readily available then that would be a different story but not everyone is sensible enough to go steady and warm there tyres before getting on the gas.
When we went to Donington the 1st time Gav didnt have tyre warmers and got left behind for the 1st lap ( soon caught up though ).

Everyone has a different idea of how to warm tyres tho, I use warmers and still go steady for the first lap. I seem to remember a certain zx10 just going flat out as it left pitlane at donington lol

What didn't suprise me was funkys first accident, 2 dead slow laps, all that testosterone around and a stupidly slow first corner with 40 bikes tryin to enter it,that was always going to end in disaster in my eyes

Last time I was at Pembrey I saw someone high side coming getting onto the track at the entry point behind the marshall after honda curve, he made almost 30ft before stacking his bike!!!!

He had warmers but got to the marshalling point to early & his tyres cooled...

After that I always take the first two laps on any track at a more moderate pace to get some heat into the tyres and warm myself up before giving it beans....

I think most people can decide when their tyres are warm. At any trackday I've been to where there has not been any warm up laps, I dont think I've seen any accidents within the first few laps. Plus it naturally splits people up, whereas at Pembrey theres always big clunks of people.
