mine had 6 weeks break forced by work and ice /snow over dec too early january . but 2 of em are happily getting used again now both need a wash, they will just get the hose over em so as not too wash the ACF off though,
this morning I did home (on northdevon /cornwall border) to Bideford, then onto Holsworthy, then into Stratton, then Bude and back home again took around 2 1/2 hours with stops chatting etc, i was bloody cold, hands were numb, and the riding was steady due to ice around the place, but i was happy just too get out on the road and feel a lot better now for a blast in the fresh air

after 2 months of dry roads, it appears, then if any moisture makes its way over the coastline i call the RAc, get recovered home and wrap the bike in a 13 tog duvet - you can't be too careful !

I've been riding all the way through,

Even in the snow, I suppose having an offroad bike helps that

With the exception of a couple of weeks when it snowed the bike is constantly out, although it doesn't always go far, and maybe averges 150 miles per month.

Ride all year, apart from that last spell of icy weather, although did ride to work on the -6 deg day, but only cos Becs and I had to stay at mother and father in laws overnight ( black ice meant we couldn't leave the evening before  ) and Becs needed the car to take the kids to school and I didn't want to leave the bike behind  ! Steep hills in and out of our village means on really icy/ snowy days the roads are lethal!
Cut me in half and I'v got Suzuki written right through me!
Ride GSXR 750 WR ( 1994) .

The Rock's been SORN since Oct 08, FJR is ride-ready all year and ridden in winter if really needed but the CB is ridden every day of every week regardless of weather.
Passing guys walking through the snow & ice all tutting me as they were sliding/falling everywhere
My 4 points of contact were perfect, just tick-over in 1st gear and leaving off the brakes got me there & back every day without fail or fall 8)

Normally out every Sunday........even during the icy spell. However, I did turn around at okehampton after only 35 miles because it was arkin freezing and the side of the roads were icy.
No such thing as bad weather..........just inappropriate clothing.
