I've been meaning to say about the other Sunday when riding back from Funky's house.
I went pass my house to go up the shop for some fags when turnning in I noticed I had pick up a follower in a nice white car with high vis and blue lights. As I pulled up outside the shop he instructed me to stay there while he park his coulrfull car.
He came back over and asked if I had been warming my tyres as he notcied me weaving accross the road. I then explained I was just stretching out a bit. he then pointed out all the dangers of this espcialy as i had been doing it over a box junction where I could have easily lost controll of the bike and had a very nasty accident. He went on to say that he had checked my speed but I was not doing anything that was worth him putting pen to paper for. BUT THEN he got the real point..............The number plate. not only was it Illegal but in his words "It was taking the p1ss" I explained that this was in no means to make it harder to read but purely to improve the bikes looks as those air brakes tend to ruin a bikes line. He tells me that there are lots of things he would like to do to his bike but, your just not allowed to. then going to say about it being a £60 fine every time you get stoped with it. and they are going to look good and hard at your bike every time they stop you. and sugested that if I just tock an inch off of both dimention no one would look twice at it.
He then let me go on my way NO FINE. But I did go straight home and not take the bike out againg untill a new plate
came.
So just go's to show not ACAB. Some are bikers too.

Ive had that twice!
One cop then went on after telling me how I shouldn't have a small plate how fast he's had his ZX6 on the A roads out towards barnstaple!
And then another time I got a b*llocking for being abit throttle-happy and then the two policemen started telling me about a track day they'd been to the week before and then started bickering between eachother who was fastest on theire zx9's!

Yes that wasn't the first time I've come across a decent copper that has let things slip but the funny thing is they have all been bikers them selfs.

My number plate is 7" x 5.5" - that extra half inch allows the use of 60mm digits and saves a lot of grief - when Layne and I got pulled last year they ignored my plate ( and exhausts
) and just had a go at Layne for his number plate - even though it was only a little smaller

Re: Got pulled over the other day by a nice officer
mines a 6x4, been pulled over once in newton abbot with my a few weeks ago, again, the cop just commented on how tidy his bike is (the honda super four for sale on here the other day) and then started rambling on about how he had the same bike a few years back, apologised for pulling us over and went! all depends on the cop, generally they're more leaniant if they ride aswell because they know what it's like
but then on the odd occasion you'll get one that tries to give ya three points for not having a reflector or sumink stupid.
