Shite BBC Motogp coverage
Is it me? Am I stupid? (don't answer that one) At the end of the motogp race matt roberts said moto3 race was on the red button. When I hit the red button all that was on was final score and snooker. Where was the race????????

Running on MT

Re: Shite BBC Motogp coverage
Wasn't it before the race? I am very lucky as I have Eurosport too, they put it on live and again many times if you miss it. Also if the BBC (Who own the rights to show MotoGP live) don't want to put it on then Eurosport will take full advantage. Only time they struggle doing live is if MotoGP, WSBK and BSB are on all in the same day, like this weekend, but will show the races in FULL and dare I say it better commentary too. Could be worse, ITV show BSB on ITV4 much later after it's happened, not on ITV1 or ITV2 or ITV3, nah 4th inline, just shows you why they lost F1, even though it's dull but they will rather show that on BBC1 or BBC2, no red button needed.

Re: Shite BBC Motogp coverage
They showed the Moto3 race on red button freeview at 8pm. it seems you can only watch channel 301 on freeview, they have other red button channels but they are only available on some digiboxes and satellite systems
...
The odd men tidying up coloured balls was deemed more important, as was ladies Hockey. Although I'm sure the hockey ref was smuggling smarties under her shirt ;)
To add to your rant, after last weeks Jerez GP when Cal got his second proper 4th place finish, it was completely ignored by the BBC radio news, concentrating on a game of football that was to be played later in the week by a bunch of foreign players, managed by another foreigner, yet its called the ENGLISH premiere league

Serriously, where's the pride in an English sportsman doing very bloody well for a change!
Wish I could afford Eurosport

Re: Shite BBC Motogp coverage
Too right, not heard any news about Cal's efforts, Sykes's win, or anything about BSB news on anything else, nothing on BBC website about any bike racing except MotoGP and the links for news are old.
I like snooker I must admit, keen player but if they have the rights to show MotoGP, GP2 and GP3 why don't they spend some time paying attention to promoting it more and showing it more. Sod football, full of non British players in a English league that cry if another player slide tackles on the same pitch as them.

Yep, 3rd ed wot he said

Re: Shite BBC Motogp coverage
Eurosport BSB coverage was oustanding, spent most of the day sat in front of the box. Stalkers win, Haga overtaking in the most unlikely of places, Ben Wilson doing the usual on the 600. Great commentary team, James Whitham is a total star and great piss taker.
They were interviewing Paul Bird, sounds like James Ellison may be rested - possibly see Shakey Byrne on the CRT at the next Motogp.

I watched Moto3, Moto2 & MotoGP qualifing live on Saturday & all three races live on Sunday, all on the red button care of Freesat.

Re: Shite BBC Motogp coverage
Yep according to BikeSport News they've got Shakey riding for one round only, Le Mans. Supposedly to get a different or second opinion on the chatter problem. Hmmmmmmmm we'll see what happens there then????richiec wrote:Eurosport BSB coverage was oustanding, spent most of the day sat in front of the box. I find BSB by far the most entertaining of the 3 anyway. Casey Stoner? yawn..

Re: Shite BBC Motogp coverage
Yeah, MotoGP can be a little predictable at the front, but Motos 2 & 3 are excellent, what about the last lap of the Moto2 race from Estoril, how exciting was that? Or the final lap of Moto3 and the sprint to the line through the back markers?
I must admit to suffering a bit of racing fatigue by yesterday evening, having seen GP practice, qualifying and sixteen races in total over the weekend (at least I got out on the bike in the good weather on Sunday)
