I've been giving the bike a spring clean/ update!

Post by badgerKDD »

I've been busy with carb cleaning and refurbing, but also I've been doing a bit of spring upgrading!

As well as replacing the needle, o rings and float bowl gasket, I also did a small upgrade of replacing the old cross head machine screws with stainless alan head screws.

New set of DID chain and sprockets, using a one tooth down front sprocket to see what difference it makes!

And finally, after a long wait, I've replaced the dark tinted screen with the original fitment clear one!

Not sure yet, might be boat painting next weekend, depends on the weather and definitely too busy this week, high workload and flat/house hunting at the same time  ..

Might be able to slip in an early one next Sunday, couple of hours of playing before getting covered in blue topcoat ;) !

Yeah that's cool, I'll keep an eye on my week evenings and when I get a free one I'll let you know.

I believe its a world where the faint hearted fear to tread, only frequented by fools and those of warped minds, such as myself and Merv ;) ......you've got to 'love' the challenge of carbs, needles, jetting etc. :(( :((

No. Past that. Fed up of them Mikuni BS34's and their finicky float valves, and as for 40mm double-pump Del'Orto's that would either spit back and set the air filter alight, or cough and suck the darned thing in - oh, and didn't have a choke, but a "tickle lever" instead, so you soaked your fingers in petrol every time you went to start it ........ nope, you can keep them things, thanks very much :)

READ BETWEEN THE LINES BADGER

moosey boy is scared of such things, he fears the fiddling and fettling, just as the TLS, it knows the depths of his garage too well and thinks that sunlight and roads are things of folklore and legend. All because of a seal in the realm of pump. :)): :)): :)):
