Help, looking for "Alien" energy light bulbs!

Post by jock »

I have a fairly new house fitted with rather unusual light fitments and bulbs. This week two of the bulbs have fizzled out leaving us at a loss as to where we may source more! The bulbs are energy bulbs with a square 4 pin plug connecter. Yes, 4 pins? :erm: All the shops I have tried in the area have never heard nor seen such bulbs and now asking around If anyone else has such fitments in a newly built property and successfully sourced spares?

Having spoken to the developers they said that this was a government initiative in new builds :erm: "How did they arrive at that when just about every bulb fitment in the land is the standard UK push/twist fitment that has served us well since whenever? Ok, rant over! If I cannot find such elusive"Alien" bulbs then I will have to buy and fit "normal" fitments throughout the house at my expense and labour!

Also, worth taking one into a whole salers like Devon Dales, Edmonsons, City Electrical factors. I find Devon Dales in Sowton are usually on the case with unusual fittings.
Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..
