hi guys
seasons greetings to you all.
i have a problem, went to start the zx636r today after the xmas break, she wont go. i get the normal servo noise from under the seat and clocks do there check. then when pressing the button and i get i loud bussing from the starter soliniod by the left hand side of the seat. servo the moves again but nothing else. she will bump start no probs. have checked the battery and have 12 volts in it. any ideas.

hi guys just been out to try it after sitting on the optimate all night. battery reads 12.9v pushed the button and just buzzing again. drops voltage down to 7v but climbs back up to 11.9v and charging straight away. does this still mean i could be the battery.

hi the 7r ive got use to do the same if the batt was not in tip top cond use to jump start from car have a look in the owners manu to see if you can do this i dont if you can on up to date bikes. if you can it gives the bat more power leave for a couple of mins then try if it starts then you know the batt my be wa*k im only guessing though because of the exper of the 7r ive had

Battery could be 12v and look like it is fine but you will also need to check the ampage, if that is down then that would cause problems.
When you get the bike running you should see above 13.5v on the battery, if it is any less than that then you have a charging issue.

hi all, managed to get the batttery to the shop, when he put the load tester on it it dropped right down, he recons there was two cells dead it in, fitted the new one exchanged under guarantee and it started frist time.
