well?

go on spill the beans.

mine was in 1996 on a CR125 riding along a surfaced path, I had ridden along this path 3 times that day, unfortunately the last time through the workmen in the field the path went through had finished for the day and had left and locked the gate behind them. This gate BTW is a single bar/box section type, painted green with a grass background :?

can you guess the rest? yep, thats right here comes our hero Taff, in 5th gear so about 50mph, sees the gate is locked  applies the brakes in a panick type manner, locks both wheels for about 4 meteres before impact.

luckily I hit the gate away from the posts and I can remember lying on the ground listening to it bouncing on the tarmac, had I have been going the other way I would have hit the gate Into the posts and that would have hurt a lot more.

for my stupidity I had 3 weeks in hospital, broken right leg, snapped left forearm, 2 months off work, 3 weeks back in work not able to do anything followed by another month off, it was about 10 months before I had use of my left hand after the nerve damage caused during the operation to put the plates in

Crashing rules, I crash so much I dunno which one is my daftest.
This one springs to mind, I got a good start (racing MX) and then got taken out, I jumped back up, kicked it into action, just dumped the clutch, and it just spun round on me and I was on the floor again, found out in the crash or before, it got knocked down to first, hence why i spun out! This was infront of a bunch of spectators too! :D
Also, another, my hand slipped on take off, [crashed earlier in the lap!!!!] and I head butted the bars, cleared the jump wrestling my bike, i lost, bit my tounge and cut all my face and broke my thumb and ruined all the liagaments in it!
My list is endless!

that reminds me of trying to ride through a peat bog, there was a small gulley, my mate (who was on a husky 610) said 'pick your own line, when you get to the gulley nail the throttle at pull like [censored] on the bars.'

yep, I nailed the throttle, pulled like feck only for my wet peat covered gloves to slip clean off the bars, I went off the back of the bike while it went on to clear the gulley and lunch its bottom end bearings

another long push home

i cant take credit for this but everytime he tells this story i cant help but laugh

a friend of mine was driving back from his commute to work thinking to himself "man i drive this road everyday, its so boring, i bet i could even do it with my eyes closed" so he thought he'd give it a try. he thought he would close his eyes for 10 seconds and still be able to stay on the road, it was only a very simple but low speed limit straight. Anyway he got to about 6 seconds before he hit the curb right infront of a lamp post, bike went up over the front wheel and he flew off and hit the lamp post. Was going about 40, but shattered his right arm on the lamp post and the left shin when the bike landed on him.

thats got to win some sort of prize for stupidity.
i dont have a drinking problem.......if anything, i'm too good at it

Depends what the definition of "crash" is :?

Parking my GSX11 Kat outside the house, foot slipped on gravel and bike went over - I valiantly slid underneath it to save the engine cases / paint, but ended up pinned underneath, unable to move 'cos of the weight of the damn thing, with my face 6" from a huge turd left in the gutter by the neighbours Rottweiler

Friend brought around his new ZX10 (the original dinosaur one  ) and going out to have a look, hopped on and lifted it off the sidestand - taking the weight on my bare foot, which unfortunately was on a sharp stone - bike toppled over, fortunately against the back of my car .... the handlebar going through a tail-light lense and the footpeg breaking the number plate ..... fortunately no damage to the bike

Years ago, on my little CG125, riding down holloway street in the pouring rain on the 5th November, a car pulled out in front of me from a side turning, as as I hit it and went over the bonnet a load of fireworks from the Deaf School firework display started going off overhead

many more tales to tell, but ............ :D
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Handle stressful situations like a dog - If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away

Thought I would see if my bike would go along without me on it. I was running along side it, everything was going great till I triped over. I didn;t get to it in time. Had to watch my pride and joy go through a hedge and into a field.
