yer the council should be liable but unless theres been some serious complaints put in it wont stand!
i thought funky was going to slyly explain why were from n.devon after the man joke.
Ive tryed claiming from the council when i came off due to badly placed draincover. The insurance companys solicitors would have none of it they said no councils ever pay out on draincover placing.

did your solicitor say anything about if there had been several complaints made to the council by various people before said accident,
that then they are liable,
im sure i heard or read that somewhere?!
i might be wrong!!

No solicitor didnt say anything about that but it was two years ago now so things may have changed. Some of the potholes near hartland now are getting huge though so if anyone needs a good reason for falling off their bike and getting the damage paid for by the council im sure you could take some photos of these nice potholes to get it paid for.

the bend by the hartland western junction is lethal as is most of the road from Welcombe cross to Bideford, but that hartland turning has pits right on the line out of the corner and i mean serious pits, bl**dy lethal i call it
