A question of time...

Post by SteveR3 »

I knew it would happen sooner or later, so I've left work mid afternoon today and I'm 1/2 way home on the link road between Barnstaple/Bideford, doing about 55mph in the sunshine and I notice a plain grey Beemer estate behind.
A layby is just up ahead and then I notice in my mirrors blue flashers in his grill, alternating headlights and his left indicator on.
Obviously I ignore it as I don't recognise this as a Police car, the driver is tucked up and I cannot clearly make him out to be in any uniform.
I'm now thinking he's just come from Halfords and bought some of those radiator grill accessories to make his van go quicker or maybe hold-up some unsuspecting driver etc, etc, etc and who knows what

The second lay-by is approaching and I notice the same irritating vision in my mirrors so guess what... yes, it's to be ignored so I carry on; I should be home soon and maybe he'll find someone else to annoy

The third lay-by is now comming up so this time he overtakes me and I see it's a uniform inside and he now displays a "STOP" "POLICE" sign in his back window so I follow him into the siding.

I don't need to go into why he pulled me over but I did explain why I ignored him and carried on my merry way - he then said he was very close to calling out a patrol car with Stinger if I failed to stop again, I should have asked would that happen if I was riding my bike b-(

rape? oh know don't tell me speeding, what ever, if he didnt bust you he's probably stroking his ego.
I only got one word for, DICKHEADs, or is this two?

Well whatever you did it couldn’t have been a traffic offence as you weren’t locked up over night, with the key thrown away….. :)

Okay, no it wasn't murder, speeding or anything that you would consider of any real importance - I had a weeny bit of mud on my number plate rear window and lights but it was enough that he couldn't trace me on his national database, he couldn't tell if I' was about to brakie or turn right/left

The rebel in me I wondered if his mum knew he was out and would she be pleased if I offered to squease a few zits for him?

Question remains... would he have arranged a stinger for me if I was on one of my bikes with a bit of mud around the back end?

he would have called it in and given chase to try and get on one of those 'cops in action' shows that are slowly ridding the streets of the the hooligans known as 'MOTORCYCLISTS'

i am fairly sure that if you got a stinger thrown out in front of you whilst ona bike you could pretty much sue the shit out of the police force for attempted murder - especially if you were doing 150mph when they threw it out in front of you :D

I'm certain they wouldn't have wasted a valuable stinger on biker scum, they would simply have a length of fishing line stretched across the road at about 4 foot off the ground... 8-x

Good example of why some folk should not be let loose with too much choice in the smilie dept!! :))

So, obstructing the view of a number plate then? How very dangerous of you!!

Jeez, he really was bored!
