Wouldn't think they'd use stinger on bikers, however, i did once see on some programme that the Spanish Police gave a "Crim" a bike as his requested get away vehicle....only T-Bone him on it a 100 meters down the road, damn that guy got some good air!

Re: A question of time...
We were out on the off roaders today. we wouldn't have heard sirens - Pipe's too loud! And no mirrors = no rear view! First thing we'd have known about it was getting the tyre blown out by a pump action wielding Judge Dredd...perfectly reasonable of course...but surely not for a dirty number plate
....Anyway, i hit a tree and snapped my throttle cable so me and the bike got as lift home in a mates van, bugger!

The Stinger is not allowed to be used against motorcycles or other powered two wheelers. The stinger is deployed because it causes a slow release of pressure in the tyres through the hollow spikes. On a car this just means the car slows down and eventually shreds the tyres if it continues, however on a motorcycle the front tyre going down even slowly will likely cause a catastrophic loss of control, and potentially fatal injuries tot he rider. If a stinger was deployed against a bike the rider would be able to sue the police.
