New to Cornwall

A belated welcome Graeme. Been having man flu and not checked on messages here.

As you can see I'm down in Falmouth but I ride up to St Austell every day and around and about when the weather allows. I'm a born again biker so still trying to find my way to the right bike but I am about the opposite to you it would seem as I have enjoyed a 30 year old 250 more than any newer bigger bike. Just missed getting a ZZ-R250 to replace it because of the illness which peed me off a bit but at some point I'll find the right bike (150 kilos, 100mph, carries two with full luggage and does 80mpg).

I'll see you at the bike nights if not before. Mind you the last Londoner I went for a rideout with was a couple of months after getting back on a bike and he took his 20 year old CB500 and made me look really bad on the ZZ-R 600. At least now I can blame the bike a bit! That was the day Badger nearly head butted a harrow (?) heading for Leedstown. Best ride for me so far despite me being useless.

I'll take you out. Just do me a favour and follow my lines. I am very experienced as I've done a lot of track days,but more importantly being a despatch rider. I taught my son and he's got a triumph speed four. He always follows my lines and says he feels safe that way. Look forward to meeting up.

Any ways ,if you ride with too bigger group,in my experience there's always a spill where someone acts the twat

Well anyone that is looking for a ride out won't look into "introduction" section.
Yes it's always one.. I think that 4-6 bikers are manageable number in the public more hmmm

I've been out with SWB organised rides a few times with about 40 riders and I've not seen any misbehaviour or heard of anyone crashing.

Dukes are quick flicking through corners. Wide bars, sat high but I bet front is light.

..180 bhp,140 nm torque, the front tyre doesn't need changing much,I must admit. I wouldn't like to ride it as hard as I do without the traction control on though. I think with all that power,the front wheel would never touch the ground. The traction control is perfected though on this bike as the abs as well.

Well you've obviously all got your heads screwed on right then because some of the idiots this way are proper pratts. The mayday run for instance is a litter of smashed up bikes all the way. I haven't participated in that for over ten years now because of all the carnage. Even on the good old fashioned London to Brighton pioneer run,there's always a few groups of Rossi wannabe.

we have had 70 on one ride with no issues. There has only been two riders part ways with their machines on rideouts I have lead in the 11 years with the site. Both were rider error and they have admitted it. Neither were due to being stupid or reckless, just error.

We have a couple of tried and tested ways to run our rides that allow all to have fun yet make it home in one piece.

We have ejected a couple of idiots from rides for being pricks and riding dangerously, they didn't come back, just went and found another group that all like to show off and compare egos. You tend to find the ego driven riding gods don't stay on here long as nobody is interested.

funnily enough, a lot of the street heroes that will tell you how fast they are on the road and how great at wheelies they are come up with all manner of excuses when you mention taking a bimble round a track.

If you check the top of the Ride Outs section we've put in a Thread with our general ride out guide, gives you an idea of what a ride will entail, but to be honest we tend to ride to the lowest ability/ slowest bike with our group rides. What you do on your own is your business ;) ...
