Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

Seems there's still a great sense of humour amongst you lot, which is frikkin awesome to see.
Don't mind saying, extremely jealous of your little pie e of paradise there Brian. Bet it's lovelly with the we're having just now. A full 12 weeks of isolation. Fair play and hope you're tolerating each other... I say each other, you know that's one sided... O:-)

OK you lot, stay safe, stay home and save lives.
Respect to those of you who still go out to do your thing to keep us all going :D I'll buy you all a coffee and cake next time we're out...
Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..

I’d planned on fitting a full Akrapovic system to the 1290 as a “sometime next winter” job... at least until receiving a Black Monday (was it Monday or Friday? Whatever...) email advising me of 25% discount on all KTM parts. The calculator was consulted and revealed a saving of £546 - it still required a shedload to spend but that level of saving couldn’t be ignored so I grabbed one. Fitting was interesting, the longest bit being removing all the emissions-related gubbins and the comparatively heavy standard pipework, the new system is pure Titanium porn, beautifully made and slipped together a treat.
Anyway, after vanning the bike to the dealer for the re-map (included in the price) and taxing it on the first of the month I was itching to get out. With the weather turning nice at last there’s only so much of a bike fix that one can get from BTSport and the amusing anecdotes posted on Twitter by Rob Mac, Terry Rymer, James Whitham et al so I nipped out to the supermarket on Sunday for a few essentials and found myself disoriented upon leaving and my journey home took an unexpected 30 miles...
I must also confess to feeling guilty about interpreting the lockdown guidance somewhat elastically for my own gratification, but I was taking things steadily and didn’t mix with anyone after leaving the shop (where I walked round in full leathers, facemask and surgical gloves - things get warm pretty quickly like that!) At least I did feel a twinge of guilt, unlike the riders of the pair of 2-up Harleys I saw, most obviously out for a social ride.
All I can add is: full system, re-map, Track mode, Anti-Wheelie mode <off>... Feck me! Must remember to change up before hitting the Rev limiter in 3rd...
Y’all take care now...

. . . . . . . . . . . . . effin' ethanol :-l .

So, if you've an older bike with a plastic tank - it'll grow, and, like my waistline, it won't shrink back to it's proper size. You'll have to get imaginative with the tank mountings and/or buy a bigger pry bar.
Thanks Phil, I understood a couple of months of airing and they return towards the normal size. I have resolved the issue by extending the rear bolt holes and it's OK but I still have to pry it in on the front and it's harder to do than I'd like 😬
