We urge this to be a lesson to other drivers who foolishly believe that stunts like these are good entertainment.
I beleive we will be the judge of that.

Anyone who positions a video camera such that it can see the speedo deserves all that is coming to them.

However - we all know how easy it is to re-gear a bike such that the speedo over-reads, or can create the same effect with a speedo healer. Likewise Video speed can be altered/edited to create an illusion as to the real speed being travelled, so I can't see how the video would stand up in court :?

It is thought that this is one of the highest speeds ever recorded by Lothian and Borders Police.

Also, unless the rider admits anything (unlikely) it's virtually impossible to prove who was riding the bike, you can't see the rider. All that can be seen from a video is a bike being ridden at X speed along Y road.

Saying that about not being able to identifiy a rider. They managed to prosercute a rider a couple years back who rode around with no number plate, gettin Gatzode on numerous occasions and identified him from the photos by his riding gear, helmet, bike and caught him whilst riding with same gear, helmet and bike.

Was enough apparently.

I saw on the local news that a guy in Burnham got away with it because there was no date or time on the video
